Smallest Aircraft

With a wingspan of only 5 feet 5 inches and a length of 8 feet 10 inches, the bright yellow biplane, names Bumble Bee II, is the smallest working aircraft.

The plane’s designer, Robert H. Starr flew his creation on May 8, 1988 around the airfield in Tempe, Arizona. The plane rose to an altitude of about 400 feet and circled the field several times.
